Why we started
About RealSkinCare.in
Most of us grew up with one bar of soap for everything, a tube of something "fairness" in the cabinet, and the vague idea that skincare was something other people did. Then the breakouts didn't stop after college, the tan from one Goa trip stayed for six months, and shaving started to sting.
When we went looking for help, everything online was written for someone else: different skin, different weather, products you couldn't buy here, and a ten-step routine nobody has time for. Or worse, it made you feel a bit silly for asking.
So we built the site we wished we'd had. Plain talk, Indian prices, and routines that fit between your alarm and your first meeting. If you've never owned a moisturiser, you're exactly who we write for.
What we believe
- Ingredients over hype. A product is only as good as what is in it, at what percentage, in what formula. We read labels line by line so you do not have to.
- Evidence over anecdote. Our guides are built on published dermatology research. Where the science is thin, we say so plainly.
- India first. Prices in rupees, products you can actually order, and advice that accounts for UV index, humidity, hard water and pollution.
- Simple wins. A three-step routine you follow beats a ten-step routine you abandon. Most people need a cleanser, a moisturiser and a sunscreen before anything else.
Who it is for
We write first for men aged 18 to 35 who are new to skincare, or who tried it once and gave up because it felt complicated. But skin is skin. Everything here works for anyone, and plenty of our readers are women who like the no-nonsense tone.
How we make money
RealSkinCare.in is free to read. We earn through affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon India and Nykaa. When you buy through those links we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Brands cannot pay for a review, a ranking or an article. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
What we are not
We are not doctors, and nothing here is a diagnosis. Persistent acne, sudden pigmentation, rashes, or anything that worries you belongs with a qualified dermatologist. Read our medical disclaimer.
