Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RealSkinCare.in ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you visit realskincare.in (the "Site"). We have written it to be read, not skimmed past. It is designed with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind and with Google's publisher requirements.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, and optionally your name.
- Contact form and email: your name, email address and the contents of your message.
- Skin Concierge: your name, email address, phone number, age, sex (male or female), skin type, skin concerns, budget and any notes you add. We use these to recommend products and, with your consent, to contact you about your recommendations. Skin concerns are information about your skin that you choose to share; please do not include medical records.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location (city level), device type, browser and operating system. This is collected through Google Analytics only if you consent.

Information we do not collect
The Routine Builder runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health records, and we do not sell personal data.
How we use information
- To send the newsletter and lead magnet you asked for.
- To reply to your messages.
- To understand which content is useful so we can improve it.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse.
Cookies
We use essential storage to remember your theme (dark or Bone) and your cookie choice. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link to a retailer such as Amazon India or Nykaa, that retailer may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Their privacy policies govern what happens on their sites.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Site, under their own privacy terms:
- Hostinger (web hosting)
- Google (Analytics)
- Our newsletter provider (Brevo or Mailchimp)
- Formspree (contact form processing, if enabled)
- Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Mumbai region): stores Skin Concierge submissions
Some providers may process data outside India. We choose providers with recognised security practices.
Retention
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Skin Concierge submissions are kept for up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (14 months by default).
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise your rights. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, email hello@realskincare.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational for such complaints.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to personal data and use reputable providers, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date above.
